MACHINE QUILTING ON A DOMESTIC MACHINE
March 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
$35Intro to Machine Quilting on a Domestic Sewing Machine
This class will introduce you to machine quilting on your home sewing machine. We will discuss and practice straight line quilting and free motion quilting (Stipple, Paisley, Partial Swirls etc.) so that you are able to finish your own quilting projects. Bring your sewing machine with a free motion presser foot, sometimes referred to as a hopping foot, and a walking foot if you have one. Let’s explore the possibilities.
The instructor is Janet Cass, a former hand weaver and graphic designer turned quilter in the past 6 years. She is an award winning quilter, has shown her quilts at the Cocheco Quilt Show and MQX. Recently she has turned her sewing and quilting focus to quilted vests and jackets.
