Kaleidoscope is a woven, 42” usable width 100% cotton fabric. The cloth is not too thin or too thick, it is just the right mix of structure and lightness that drapes beautifully for quilting and garment making. With sixty fabrics in the main Kaleidoscope line, a range of light, bright, and dark colors make it a versatile and useful fabric collection. It’s a dream to work with – beautiful and high quality!

Mostly a group of shot cottons with a couple of chambrays, Kaleidoscope uses two different colors of yarn that are woven together to make a new, final color with a lot of depth and interest. Great care was taken in the combining of the two colors to create a line of woven solid fabrics that are each consistent with the Alison Glass color palette. Achieving the desired perceived color from two separate colors is a lengthy and time-consuming process, and we are very proud of the work that went into creating it and the outcome.

Kaleidoscope 2021 coming in March!
The Kaleidoscope 2021 collection of 20 new colors is its own spectrum of color with an emphasis on more neutrals. They also work well with the existing 40 Kaleidoscope colors and the Kaleidoscope Plaid and Stripe collection. We are especially happy about the addition of an almost black, a more pepper-y grey, a light grey, a nice cream, flax, and a couple of pretty chambray-ish blues. There are additional brights as well as some more semi-neutral dusty pinks and oranges.
