Learn how to make a fusible fabric collage quilt or wall hanging using Libby Mortensen’s new Bluebird Pattern, coming to the shop March 1st. Explore the world of fabric collage while you get a good start on this 14 x14 inch design – no sewing necessary until time to quilt. Techniques taught include – how to transfer a design onto foundation fabric, fuse webbing, fussy cut motifs and creating a colorful design using a simple pattern. In addition, color choices and placement of fabrics to create depth and movement in your piece will be discussed. This is a design class and does not require a sewing machine for the class. Quilting suggestions will be discussed for finishing at home. Supply list will be provided. Please preorder the Bluebird Pattern before class.
