SPRING BLUEBIRD NEEDLE FELTING WORKSHOP

Join this fun workshop to explore the craft of needle felting with fiber artist Libby Mortensen. Students will learn to make their own sitting bluebird (about 5” long, without legs/feet) to display for spring while learning basic wool sculpting techniques, including wrapping and shaping, blending colors, and surface felting. Learn about basic tools, felting surfaces, gauges of needles and their best uses, and types of wool best suited for needle felting. felting. Companion class to make a nest for your bluebird is available April 16th.
Materials fee: $25 for supplies and tools, payable to instructor.
NOTE: $25 for supplies includes a $15 Nest supply pack with all wool and other materials needed AND an optional $10 tool kit for beginners, which includes sample needles and foam felting surface, if needed.
