Embroidery and quilting in the hoop is fun and easy! Learn how to make one of these bags by Pickle Pie Designs in the embroidery hoop! Students will be provided with one of these Pickle Pie Designs bag patterns (Chloe Cross Body & Tablet Bag or Sew Trendy Cross Body Collection) for use in class to make their bag in the hoop! Once you see how easy it is to make one, you will want to make more! Students may also bring in a project of their own if they need help. Please bring fabric and thread for your project.
Join Kay Hoffman, embroiderer extraordinaire, to learn how to make distinctive embroidered applique designs with optional quilting in the hoop. Learn tips and tricks for hooping, multi-hooping, positioning, stabilizing, and thread selection. Time permitting, students will explore the Sarah Vedeler Designs to applique on to their bag if desired. Popular collections that we have used in previous Open Embroidery Studios are the Abundance Collection and the Flower of Life Collection. Another new collection is called the Happy Collection.
