Perfect your paper piecing skills with this challenging mariner’s compass star pattern from Carol Doak’s book, Mariner’s Compass Stars. Make one or more blocks and finish them into a pillow, a tote bag, a runner…or a quilt! Choose the blocks from your favorite countries and construct them using a variety of fabrics – perfect for small pieces of Kaffe Fasset fabrics. Finishing suggestions for your blocks will be demonstrated. Previous experience with paper piecing is suggested for this class. Supplies needed for this class include the Mariner’s Compass Stars book by Carol Doak, which is out of print and a limited supply of POD (Print On Demand) editions will be available, tools for paper piecing, background fabric and smaller pieces for star points.
