FLOWER GARDEN APPLIQUE
Needleturn Applique: Is It or Isn’t It:
June Pease has created another masterpiece with the Flower Garden pattern by Kim McLean. Students will be learning multiple techniques of applique and once appliqued, no one will know that it is not needleturn. Techniques presented are needleturn, freezer paper, basting, and starch method. The class will concentrate on creating interesting color combinations using whimsical fabric choices. The display quilt features many of the Kaffe Fassett fabrics – prints, stripes and plaids – and there are many other options with printed batiks and painterly fabrics. The display quilt is 75″ x 76″ which is reduced from the pattern size of 89″ x 91″. Please sign up for the 3 class series on the first Saturday class listed 2/25/17. (Also meets on 3/25 and 4/22.)
