FABRIC COLLAGE BASICS FULL

Want to use up those scraps you’ve saved from your favorite projects? Learn how to make a simplified fabric collage using those scraps, fusible web, and a few other supplies. Techniques taught include – how to transfer a design onto foundation fabric, fuse webbing, fussy cut motifs and create a colorful design using a simple, black line drawing. In addition, color choices and placement of fabrics to create depth and movement in your quilt will be discussed. This is a design class and does not require a sewing machine for the class but quilting suggestions will be discussed for finishing at home. This class will prepare you for a more advanced class of making one of Laura Heine’s popular animal collage patterns in the Fabric Collage Intermediate class.
