DESCRIPTION:Learn how to make a fusible fabric collage quilt or wall hanging using one of Laura Heine’s popular collage patterns (such as Making Fish) or Libby Mortensen’s patterns (including her new Bluebird and Nest pattern.) Choose your design (bring in a picture of your favorite fish\, flora or fauna) and get started on this fun and easy technique – no sewing necessary until time to quilt. Techniques taught include – how to transfer a design onto foundation fabric\, fuse webbing\, fussy cut motifs and create a colorful design using a simple\, black line drawing. In addition\, color choices and placement of fabrics to create depth and movement in your quilt will be discussed. This is a design class and does not require a sewing machine for the class. Quilting suggestions will be discussed for finishing at home. Supplies needed will depend on choice of pattern. Please purchase pattern before class.
