A TWIST ON TREES OF THE FOUR SEASONS
Needleturn Applique: Is It or Isn’t It:
June Pease is back with another spectacular appliqued quilt ready to guide you in making yours. This class will cover multiple techniques of applique and once appliqued, no one will know that it is not needleturn. Techniques presented are needleturn, freezer paper, basting, and starch method. We will concentrate on creating interesting color combinations using whimsical fabric choices or working with the fabrics of your choice. Also to add more interest to the piece we can add embellishments to the appliques themselves. You can choose to make the entire quilt as it is in the Trees of the Four Seasons pattern by Kim McLean, or change the size of the quilt to suit your needs as I have done in the sample pictured.
